Dolgellau is a charming small market town which dates back to medieval times, the streets & roads are quite narrow in parts & there is a 1 way system around the centre of the town.

If arriving from Bala turn right up the road into Dolgellau past the library & Euro spar then left across the main bridge into the town, drive across & follow the 1 way system till you see Y Meirionnydd restaurant, drive round past there & past Gwin Dylanwad wine bar on your left. Take the next left between JP Hardware’s shop & Cosy’s fish & chip shop into Meyrick Street. A few yards up you will see a Catholic church again on your left. Round past this you will see Tan y Gader. If you have booked Narnia (the blue room) you can park directly to the front of the house on the cobbled area. If you have booked Alice (green room) or Secret Garden (pink room) there is usually parking available to the right side gable end of the property. If full there is parking down by the churches on the nearby streets & there is also the paid car park down on the Marion car park by the main bridge.(There is always a parking space to be found nearby.)
